Baby It's Cold Outside

Brrrr It's cold outside this morning. 16 degrees, the wind is howling and light snow is forecast. A great day to stay indoors by the fire. Even the cats don't want to go out this morning.

So far so good on the resolution front. No wine and eating healthy. Walked around the block last night despite the freezing, icy roads. And up and down the basement stairs while putting away the holiday decorations. I've decided to add a couple more resolutions.... Buy American whenever possible. That's the only way we'll ever grow jobs in this country.
Also finish the several craft projects I've got going. (2 quilts, 1 sweater, 1 afghan)
Declutter the house and work on redoing two of the bathrooms and the kitchen.
Continue last resolutions of eating locally grown foods and staying away from processed foods.

Hell, if I keep up with all this stuff I'm bound to loose weight I won't have time to eat!

Journey to 60

In a few days I'll reach the grand old age of 59. I'm not dreading it, but I want to record me feelings of this last year of my fifties.

On this first day of the New Year I'm looking forward to cleaning up the rest of the Holiday decorations and putting things away. It will be good to have the house back in order.

I have a New Years resolution to stop drinking wine with one glass.....sounds easy enough, but we'll have to see about that. And I'd like to be come a better person and try to stop cursing at other drivers (this one is a little tougher). And the standard, loose 50 pounds and exercise more, hum....
